My plant got bigger as time went on. Mitosis helps the plant grow bigger by creating two daughter cells, that will increase the number of cells in the plant. The cell replicates its chromosomes and then splits the copied chromosomes. More cells mean more bigger the plant's body gets. All the branches and leaves spread out and get bigger do to more cells. Photosynthesis helps a plant utilizes sunlight as an energy source. This energy source is converted into ATP. Plants make their own food by using the sun's light with carbon dioxide and water with chlorophyll to make oxygen and glucose. Glucose helps with fats, oils, and starch for storage. All this is used to make cellulose for cell walls and proteins for growth. Chlorophyll gives the plant its green color. Cellular respiration helps the plant with oxygen and glucose which acts as energy for the plant. Glycolysis splits the two glucose molecules called pyruvate which expel small amount of ATP. The formed carbon dioxide and electrons are removed and placed in an electron transport system which produce a lot of ATP for the plant to use for growth and reproduction. The plant would make more carbohydrates, fats, and proteins like enzymes by getting energy from the sun. The outcome of cellular respiration is the plant takes glucose and oxygen which let out carbon dioxide, water, and energy. From the enzymes that were made from cellular respiration, the enzymes will be used in photosynthesis. RNA would unzip the DNA and get a code for the enzyme that is needed then puts the DNA back together. The mRNA goes outside and attaches itself with the ribosome. Translation and transcription would happen. During transcription, the mRNA would be formed, the mRNA would look identical to the DNA. Then with translation, the proteins are finally made. The ribosomes in the cytoplasm synthesis proteins after translation. All amino acids will form a protein.
