Our plant grew and got bigger. Mitosis helps the plant grow bigger by creating two daughter cells, this will increase the number of cells in the plant. The cell replicates its chromosomes and then splits the copied chromosomes. More cells mean more bigger the plant's body gets. All the branches and leaves spread out and get bigger do to more cells. Photosynthesis helps a plant utilizes sunlight as an energy source. This energy source is converted into ATP. Plants make their own food by using the sun's light with carbon dioxide and water with chlorophyll to make oxygen and glucose. Glucose helps with fats, oils, and starch for storage. All this is used to make cellulose for cell walls and proteins for growth. Chlorophyll gives the plant its green color. Cellular respiration helps the plant with oxygen and glucose which acts as energy for the plant. Glycolysis splits the two glucose molecules called pyruvate which expel small amount of ATP. The formed carbon dioxide and electrons
